HIPER Global at DPRTE 2026

Connecting the Defence Procurement and Supply Chain Community

DPRTE 2026 is the UK’s premier event for defence procurement and supply chain engagement. Officially supported by the Ministry of Defence, the event connects buyers, suppliers and policymakers for two days of networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration across all areas of defence acquisition.

Building on our appearance at DSEI UK 2025, we were thrilled to carry that momentum into 2026. DPRTE gave us a fantastic opportunity to connect with partners, customers and new faces across the UK defence community whilst also marking an important milestone – the first official outing for Sarsen Technology since joining the HIPER Global group.

Together on Stand 54, we showcased what that integration really means in practice: a complete compute ecosystem, spanning board-level technologies through to full rack-scale AI infrastructure. More importantly, it gave us the opportunity to have some great conversations about where technology is heading and how we can help support that journey.

Key Takeaways

One theme came up in almost every conversation: how small, how fast and how deployable can this be? Defence platforms are becoming increasingly data-driven, and expectations around performance at the edge are rising quickly. Whether discussing UAVs, vehicle systems or wider C5ISR programmes, the challenge remains the same: how to process, analyse and act on data in real time in environments where space and power are constrained. It’s no longer just about delivering capability – it’s about delivering it where it’s needed most.

Rack-Scale and AI

Our rack-scale offering continues to generate strong interest within defence, particularly as organisations look to put processing power closer to operational environments. We were excited to provide an early preview of the HG-5610-2UF, our rugged 2U platform that delivers high-density, GPU-accelerated compute in a form factor adaptable for more demanding deployments. It opens up new possibilities for handling AI workloads, data processing and simulation at scale, without being limited to traditional data centre environments.

We were once again thrilled to be joined by PNY Technologies this year, who worked alongside our Technical Team to create a demo that sparked great conversations about how organisations can move from experimentation to real-world deployment, bridging the gap between development environments and mission-ready capability. The focus wasn’t just on performance, but on making AI practical, scalable and deployable.

Mission Computing

Our Mission Computing bay focused on what it really takes to deliver performance in harsh, real-world conditions. From compact, rugged systems through to fully integrated platforms, the emphasis was on reliability without compromise. We had some great discussions about how these systems can support C5ISR workflows, enabling faster and more informed decision-making in the field. As operational environments become more complex, the need for robust, deployable compute continues to grow.

GPU

A real highlight for many visitors was the live demo from Astute Systems, showcasing their GXA technology and Battlefield Management System applications, together creating a true powerhouse that drew impressive crowds.

The demo highlighted how GPU-accelerated compute can be applied in a practical setting – integrating multiple data sources into a single, intuitive interface for vehicle crews. It made the value of high-performance compute immediately tangible, reinforcing how critical GPUs have become for visualisation, situational awareness and real-time decision-making at the edge.

FPGA

Our FPGA bay, centred around Annapolis Micro Systems’ WILDSTAR platform, drew strong interest, particularly from those working in UAVs, RF and EW applications. Here, the focus was on speed, precision and the ability to process high-bandwidth signals in real time within a compact and deployable form factor. What stood out in conversations was that FPGA technology continues to underpin some of the most demanding defence applications, quietly enabling capabilities that would otherwise be impossible.

From data to decision, faster

DPRTE 2026 made one thing clear: defence programmes are evolving quickly, and the ability to deploy powerful, reliable compute at the edge is no longer a nice-to-have; it’s a real-world necessity.

At HIPER Global, we deliver the compute platforms that deliver exactly that. Combining deep engineering expertise with a robust supply chain, we support programmes from early concept through to fully deployed, mission-ready systems, built to perform in the harshest environments on the planet. If you’re ready to push your capabilities further, we’re ready to help you get there.
