HPC Ignites at SC25
HIPER Team Key Takeaways
A few weeks back, the HIPER Global US team exhibited at SC25 in St. Louis, MO. Supercomputing is always an exciting show to attend, featuring the latest and greatest in HPC and AI. This year’s theme was “HPC Ignites” and it did not disappoint!
The exhibit hall was electric with people eagerly buzzing about to discover new tech and innovations. To support these innovations, you need powerful, reliable and cutting edge systems, which is where HIPER Global comes in.
From Edge devices to full rack scale, HIPER Global designs, builds, tests, and delivers compute-based solutions on a global scale. Our flexibility and nimble approach to meet the unique needs of our customers frees them to focus on their IP and gets them to market quickly.
Here are some of the team’s key takeaways from SC25.
Solving Pain Points
One of the great benefits of exhibiting at trade shows is the opportunity to engage with people face-to-face and understand their specific needs. Our team had the fortune of engaging in many insightful conversations. Some of the biggest challenges we heard were supply chain, cooling and power requirements, reliability, the need to outsource, and deliver globally.
At HIPER Global, we pride ourselves on listening to what our prospects and customers need and turning those needs into actionable insights. It is important to always take a proactive approach when determining a solution. These conversations are excellent starting points for what will ultimately be a deeper dive into helping deliver a successful product.
Memory & SSD Shortages
The biggest topic at the show. Memory and SSD shortages have become a universal issue, with pricing and demand increasing rapidly. The demand for AI is reshaping the market faster than anyone anticipated. We are working proactively with our industry partners to help navigate sourcing challenges for our customers. Let us help determine the best supply strategy for you.
Liquid Cooling
Over the last couple of years, liquid cooling has emerged as a coveted resource to reduce heat as systems become increasingly more powerful to support AI applications. This year’s show was no different, with many exhibitors showcasing many solutions such as rear-door heat exchanger, direct to chip (D2C) cooling, and many more. We are pleased to offer these highly effective solutions to our customers, as well.
On-Prem vs. Cloud
Another major topic at the show was the great debate of cloud versus on-prem. Given the recent widespread outages that have impacted many cloud-hosting businesses, it seems increasingly clear to us that on-prem infrastructure is becoming a more essential and reliable solution.
On-prem is more secure, dependable, and allows you full control over your product reliability. If one or two systems fail, it will have minimal impact for your customers, versus having an entire cloud service go down and disrupt everything on a bigger scale.
With SC25 behind us, we look forward to exhibiting at SC26 next year in Chicago, IL. Hope to see you there!
